Just how much of the $175.00 charge for the Oct 13, 2007 Ecco dinner fundraiser at Disneyland goes directly to services provided by Ecco?
I've heard that a very high percentage of this "donation" does not go towards services, but instead goes towards salaries plus paying for the dinner at Disneyland!
Please break down in dollar figures just where each dollar of the $175. goes.
Thank you,
A Concerned Public

I'm not sure where your source of information is, but the fact that you say we pay salaries indicates you and your sources know very little about ECCO. ECCO does not employ an Executive Director as most organizations of our size.

Your statement does a disservice to the 100s, if not 1000s, of volunteer hours that are put into making this happen.

Yes, there is overhead related to putting on the event as there is with any event. Disneyland doesn't let us use their space or serve us dinner for free. We negotiate for free services, speakers, and entertainment whenever possible and are always looking for the most efficient way to make this happen.

You're welcome to come out of anonymity and attend any Board meeting as a guest to get a better idea of what we do. We are transparent, you should be too.

Of course, if you want to volunteer your services for any aspect of the dinner in place of where we have to pay fees, we'd be even more interested in hearing from you. In fact, if you have about 500 free hours next summer, you can chair the dinner committee!
